FH Wetland Systems Training and Education Seminars

FH Wetland Sysetms training events are currently planned for Irish Seed Savers Associaton, Co. Clare in March 2020; The Growery, Co. Offaly, April 2020; and Cloughjordan Permaculture Design Certificate Course, Co. Tipperary, August 2020.

Joint event on Climate Change and Farming, hosted by Garden of Eden Projects and Transition Clare

Details of an upcoming event in Co. Clare are given below. This farmer-focused event is being held in the Old Ground Hotel in Ennis on Monday, March 9th, 2020.

The main speakers will be Professor John Sweeney from Maynooth University and farmer Michael Costello from BASE Ireland.

Other speakers will briefly outline the advantages and challenges of other agricultural practices including agroforestry, silvopasture, wetland buffer zones for water quality protection, Community Supported Agriculture schemes, direct sales to customers via markets and REKO rings and other ways to support the farmer while supporting the land and wider environment as well.
